Senior Care & Support Worker in East Kilbride

About the role
We're looking for an experienced and confident Senior Care & Support Worker to support the day-to-day delivery of high-quality care and support services within our Care & Support team.
Working closely with the Registered Manager and Team Leader, you'll help lead and support the staff team while continuing to deliver person centred care to residents. You'll play a key role in maintaining standards, supporting staff development, and ensuring care is delivered safely, compassionately and in line with individual care plans.
This is a hands-on role that combines leadership with direct care. You'll be expected to work flexibly to meet the needs of residents and the service, including evenings, weekends, on call duties and rota cover where required. The role involves physically demanding work, including moving and handling, and supporting residents through both routine and emergency situations.
You'll be based at Ryde Village, Green Meadows, Furze Brake, or one of our Personal Budget service schemes on the Isle of Wigh t, depending on the vacancy you've applied for. You may also be required to attend training at other offices or schemes.

You will need:
Proven experience supporting people with care needs, with a strong understanding of person-centred care
Experience working in a CQC regulated care environment, with a good understanding of standards and compliance
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, colleagues and professionals
The ability to support, guide and motivate staff, including assisting with supervision and day to day performance
