Southern Housing is seeking an experienced Compliance Reinvestment Manager to lead the delivery of a programme of complex compliance-related property reinvestment works across our housing stock. This role is responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring works are delivered safely, compliantly, on time, and within budget, in line with contractual requirements and technical specifications. The postholder will oversee a varied portfolio of project work that may include, but not be limited to lift replacements, gas distribution, height safety equipment, lightning protection systems, electrical distribution, and other major compliance reinvestment schemes.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage compliance reinvestment projects from feasibility through to completion
  • Deliver programmes on time, within budget and to specification
  • Oversee works such as lifts, utilities, gas and electrical upgrades
  • Manage contractors and consultants to ensure quality, safety and value
  • Lead on performance management, change control and issue resolution
  • Monitor budgets, forecasts and financial reporting
  • Maintain strong governance, documentation and audit trails
  • Identify and manage project and compliance risks
  • Collaborate with internal teams (compliance, finance, procurement, building safety)
  • Support clear communication with residents and stakeholders

This role is based at one of our main offices in Farringdon (London), Maidstone or Sittingbourne. This is a hybrid working role with office attendance 1-2 days per week and a requirement for attending sites as necessary. Home working days will be agreed with your line manager.

What You’ll Need

  • Level 4+ qualification in Building Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline (Essential)
  • Proven experience managing multiple property or reinvestment projects concurrently
  • Strong technical knowledge of building surveying, construction or project delivery
  • Experience delivering complex works programmes (e.g. lifts, M&E, utilities)
  • Strong contractor, consultant and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrable financial management, including budget control and cost reporting
  • Good understanding of compliance, health & safety and contractual obligations
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with strong communication skills
  • CIH Level 4 in Housing or commitment to achieve by October 2029
  • Site safety related qualification, SMSTS or similar (Desirable)
