This role will be working on our InTouch seniors programme, which focuses on reducing isolation and loneliness amongst residents aged 55 and over.

As a Health & Wellbeing Project Officer, you will play a key role in improving the quality of life and wellbeing of older residents by designing and delivering a holistic programme of support activities. You will:

  • Provide basic digital support and guidance to senior residents, helping them build confidence using everyday digital tools (such as smartphones, tablets, email, online services and virtual activities)
  • Deliver training, group activities and community-based projects, including in-person and digitally supported sessions
  • Work collaboratively with community stakeholders, partners and volunteers
  • Support residents to overcome barriers to engagement, including digital exclusion
  • Ensure activities achieve measurable health and wellbeing outcomes, with clear outputs and impact

  • Relevant work experience or a qualification in community development, health, wellbeing or welfare-related fields
  • Experience of devising and delivering health and wellbeing activities in partnership with community stakeholders
  • Proven experience providing 1-to-1 support, advice and guidance
  • Confidence supporting others with basic digital skills, particularly older people who may be new to technology
