Your Role

  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead and inspire ecologists, fostering excellence and professional growth. Ensure high-quality work aligned with SES standards.
  • Work Winning & Client Development: Drive business growth by securing contracts and maintaining client relationships with tailored ecological solutions.
  • Strategic Oversight: Oversee diverse projects, ensuring timely, within-budget delivery, leading assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent SES industry-wide, sharing insights and developing best practices.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure projects meet legislation and standards, maintaining SES\’s reputation.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work with other departments for integrated solutions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree in ecology or related field with substantial consultancy experience.
  • Proven leadership in managing teams and projects, and business development skills.
  • Deep ecological knowledge, including legislation, survey techniques, habitat management, and protected species.
  • Strategic vision within environmental and planning sectors.
  • Expertise in protected species licensing and mitigation strategies.

What We Offer

  • Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 depending on experience.
  • Benefits include birthday leave, life assurance, pension contributions, holiday allowance, private medical insurance, and flexible benefits.
