This role will lead the development and delivery of a whole-school prevention and safeguarding programme designed to embed domestic abuse awareness, early intervention and long-term cultural change within educational settings.
Main purpose and scope of the job
- Leading and developing a whole-school programme on domestic abuse healthy relationships and safeguarding.
- Using a train-the-trainer approach so schools can build their own confidence and keep the work going over time.
- Working with school leaders and safeguarding leads to review current practice and identify what needs to improve.
- Promoting trauma-informed and survivor-informed practice across safeguarding and pastoral support.
- Supporting schools to develop activities and messages for children and young people about healthy relationships, safety and where to get help.
- Building strong working relationships with schools, local authorities, commissioners and other partner agencies.
- Writing reports, case studies and learning summaries to support improvement, funding and future development.
