Main purpose and scope of the job:
- Working within dispersed accommodation provided by Eastleigh District Council to provide intensive support to the victim/survivor and their child(ren) living within the properties.
- Providing high-quality crisis intervention, information, advocacy, and proactive support to victims/survivors who access the Housing and Homelessness Service.
- Working with colleagues to increase knowledge and develop responses to victims and survivors of domestic abuse through formal and informal training sessions, including colocation within the council.
- Providing resettlement support to victims of domestic abuse moving on from Stop Domestic Abuse safe accommodation.
- Supporting victims to understand their housing options to aid in the prevention/relief of homelessness and access or maintain suitable, safe accommodation.
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours Per Week: 30 (Working within Monday - Thursday: 9:30am - 5:30pm & Friday: 9:30am - 5pm)
This position requires an enhanced DBS disclosure. We particularly welcome applicants from BAMER communities that are currently under-represented in our organisation.
