Construction Wave is an independent news-gathering service, focusing on the UK construction industry. We are an online trade publisher, serving thousands of readers and subscribers every week, through our news site, daily newsletter and webinar platform. We also host at least one annual industry event for finance professionals, whose specialism is construction.

You will be part of a small, yet talented editorial team, bringing the latest news and insights on construction finance to an eager readership, through news articles, features, and video interviews, while building on the reputation of the publisher as well as developing your own professional profile within the construction media space.

Construction Wave is a growing publisher, now more than three years into its journey, led by media professionals and journalists keen on building a reputable and trustworthy news platform for construction finance professionals. If you want to be part of our story, we want to hear from you.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience working in a newsroom alongside other journalists and editors
  • NCTJ diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Curious nature and good reporting instincts
  • Strong news sense
  • Exceptional time management
  • Networking and contacts
  • Ability to meet deadlines

Compensation:

  • 26 days paid annual leave and Christmas off
  • Pension – 3% matching company contribution after 3 months
  • Sabbatical - 6-week paid career break after 5 years
