Here at Iconic Media Group – Ireland’s biggest local digital and newspaper publisher – we’re investing in our continuing growth and looking for an experienced, ambitious Multimedia Journalist to play a senior role within our newsroom and really get results. You’ll be building on your skills and making a name for yourself in the award‑winning newsroom of one of our top regional news franchises – Derry News, Derry Journal, County Derry Post and Derry Now.

So, what do you need to get started?

  • The writing and storytelling skills to produce a range of content, from big local scoops to press releases and announcements.
  • The confidence to build contacts and interview everyone from sports stars to members of the public.
  • A passion that matches ours – to inform, inspire and promote your community.

You should have a strong understanding of digital, video and print content, ideally with experience and proficiency with content management and publishing systems. However, if you can bring a strong work ethic, enthusiasm, a can‑do attitude, and a commitment to develop your skillset, full familiarisation and training will be provided.

Experience in court reporting and local government meetings will be a distinct advantage, as would a driving licence and your own car.
