Iconic Media is making a major investment in journalism and is seeking talented reporters with the energy and ambition to revitalise local storytelling and build a fresh, meaningful dialogue with their audiences. Our ‘Project 50’ is creating 50 brand new editorial jobs across the group’s unparalleled UK regional portfolio – all newsroom-based within the communities they serve. We are making a lasting commitment to on‑the‑ground journalism.

As a Reporter, you’ll be the person who really understands, represents, and covers your local patch. You will tell stories through video, words, pictures and audio and always be on the hunt for stories, setting the news agenda. Your objective will be to source and create unique, accurate, engaging content across all platforms – keeping our audience growing and playing a critical part in the future of our brands.

We’re looking for people who can react quickly, adapt between channels – from live blogging to recording and editing video – build the best contact book and understand the data behind the audience. You should be utterly determined to be the first to everything, including the next innovation. We need journalists who have a sense of what really matters to the people in their local community – and a burning desire to bring them the story where they want to consume it.

Opportunities will be based at our regional centres across Scotland, Yorkshire, Midlands, North East, North West, Sussex & Hampshire and Home Counties.
