What’s the biggest news in journalism today? Iconic Media is making a major investment in journalism and is seeking talented editors with the energy and ambition to revitalise some of our local brands and build top‑class products that build a fresh and meaningful connection with their audience.

Our ‘Project 50’ is creating 50 brand new editorial jobs across the group’s unparalleled UK regional portfolio – all newsroom‑based within the communities they serve. We are making a lasting commitment to on‑the‑ground journalism.

Responsibilities

As Editor, managing the team at one of our titles, you’ll ensure its leadership as the trusted, passionate voice of the communities it serves: celebrating local successes and campaigning for the region’s interests. Promoting quality, relevance, engagement and brand integrity across all content, platforms and activities, you’ll play a key part in this far‑reaching media initiative.

Qualifications

We’re looking for leaders, brand ambassadors and relationship managers who are committed to developing all those around them. You’ll need a keen eye for a story and an understanding of what drives audiences, plus the ability to follow analytics, identify content trends, generate fresh ideas and optimise content across multiple platforms.

We need editors who have a sense of what really matters to the people in their local community – and a burning desire to bring them the story where they want to consume it. Show us you can do that and we’ll show you how ‘Project 50’ is just the start of something truly progressive.
