Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CCO will drive innovation, clinical governance, and service excellence across the organisation. This strategic executive role will provide visionary leadership to our clinical workforce, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and quality outcomes for residents and clients.

As a trusted member of the Executive Team, the CCO will influence organisational strategy, lead transformational change, and champion a culture of continuous improvement. With oversight of clinical operations, risk, compliance, and practice development, this role offers a rare opportunity to make a significant and lasting impact on the delivery of aged care services in Tasmania.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement clinical strategies aligned with SCCTAS\’s mission and values.
  • Provide executive-level leadership for all clinical and care services.
  • Lead the review and evolution of the clinical governance framework.
  • Ensure a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality care delivery.
  • Monitor clinical performance metrics and implement evidence-based best practices.
  • Drive risk management strategies and incident response processes.
  • Lead accreditation and compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with the Board, Executive Team, and stakeholders to enhance clinical service delivery.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds clinical qualifications to degree level or equivalent with current AHPRA registration.
  • Extensive experience in a senior clinical leadership role within aged care, hospital, or health services.
  • Strong knowledge of aged care quality standards, compliance requirements, and clinical governance.
  • Proven track record in leading change, service innovation, and workforce development.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
