We are seeking dependable individuals to join our existing team of Independent Learning Supervisors. You would be required to supervise students across all year groups in the teacher's absence. A good level of education and a confident manner is essential. Previous experience of working with young people and the ability to use Microsoft Office would be a distinct advantage.
Responsibilities
- Supervise students in the absence of their usual subject teacher.
- Have flexibility to provide cover at short notice.
- Provide clear direction to students and be effective in classroom management.
- Use Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
- Take class registration on SIMS.
- Have excellent communication skills and liaise with both staff and students in a friendly manner.
- Work well as part of a team and be able to take direction.
- Undertake all required training and follow school procedures.
This is a customer-facing role needing fluent spoken English. All staff at Southend High School for Girls have a responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful applicant will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check.
