The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

We are seeking a Service Delivery Shunter Level 1 to join us. The main purpose of the role is to provide correctly marshalled trains at the time laid down and ensure this work is performed safely and to provide a quality and cost efficient service.

Role Responsibility

  • You will be required to undertake safety critical work.
  • Requires someone who has competence in personal track safety.
  • This job has specific safety responsibilities related to Ground Shunting.
  • Ensure Passenger Stock is formed correctly as shown in Carriage Working notice and supplements.
  • Responsible for maintaining thorough knowledge of Rules and Regulations that apply to work.
  • Ensure that all tasks are performed in accordance with the depot operating instruction for movements and depot protection.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Ensure your personal safety and that of others at all times.
  • Flexible to work requirements and work varying shifts.
  • Ability to use own initiative.
  • Able to pass a Personal Track Safety course.
  • Able to pass Ground Shunting Course and maintain competency.
  • Physically fit and able to pass a medical to PTS standard.
  • Basic IT Skills such as Word and Excel.
  • Good personal organisational skills.
  • Candidates are required to live within a 20 minute travel distance via public transport to our Victoria depot.
