Job Title: Deli Associate Location: Retail Grocery Location Position Overview The deli associate is responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by providing courteous and prompt service, maintaining consistent operating conditions, and creating a friendly atmosphere. Primary Responsibilities & Accountabilities Provide continuous attention to customer needs; greet, assist, and thank customers in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner. Offer product suggestions when appropriate. Stock and rotate department products to ensure freshness and proper dating; restock and use supply items efficiently to eliminate waste and maintain low supply costs. Operate department equipment and tools safely. Keep work area clean, organized, and free from safety hazards; report faulty equipment and hazards to management. Notify management of theft, shoplifting, unauthorized markdowns, property defacement, or any illegal or policy-violating actions. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Must be 18 years of age or older. Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently. Ability to understand and follow English instructions. Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain it. Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check. Preferred High standard of integrity and reliability.
