Southdown is the largest not-for-profit provider of care, support, and housing in Sussex. We have been helping people access stable accommodation, mental health and care services since 1972, now counting over 900 people as part of our team.

As a People Services Administrator, you will be joining a team providing administration support for all things People related including recruitment and onboarding, absence management, training, employee relations and offboarding. You will play a key role in ensuring our people processes run smoothly and efficiently.

This is an exciting time to join Southdown as we continue to develop and improve our People Services function, including the introduction of a new HR ticketing system. Working arrangements:

This role is 37 hours per week, working Monday to Thursday, 9.00am to 5.00pm, and Friday, 9.00am to 4.30pm. The position is offered on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of two days per week in our Lewes office.

What you'll need for the role:

  • Previous experience working in an HR or People Services team.
  • Knowledge of UK employment law, GDPR and best HR practices.
  • Experience in HR systems including HR Information Systems (HRIS), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Learning Management Systems platforms (LMS).
  • Knowledge of Recruitment lifecycle, onboarding compliance, and employment checks.

What would be nice:

  • CIPD Level 3 qualification (or working towards it).
