Location: Based at Preston Park with travel across Brighton and Hove
Salary: £28,640 per year plus paid bus pass
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Fixed term for 3 months

What you’ll be doing:

Southdown is one of the leading providers of mental health services in Sussex. We have transformed our services to provide easier access to mental health support for people across East Sussex. As a Mental Health Support Coordinator, you’ll work in partnership and in the community to provide targeted mental health and holistic support. You’ll provide support to clients during a transition period moving from existing services to the new offer. Through individual conversations you will share information about the new service, respond to concerns and signpost to other resources in the community. You’ll work in Southdown buildings and be able to travel across neighbourhoods in order to offer accessible services. You will have experience of a dynamic approach to risk assessment and be committed to removing barriers to clients receiving the support they need.

What you’ll need for the role:

  • You’ll need a good understanding of working in mental health or equivalent transferable skills
  • You have a genuine passion for supporting people to explore their needs
  • An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which will be paid for by Southdown

What would be nice:

  • Experience supporting clients experiencing mental health challenges, including those in crisis and/or facing complex challenges

Training:

You’ll receive a comprehensive induction followed up with regular training from our award winning in house team. We’ll help you to gain valuable experience, continually develop your skills and build a great career with the largest provider of housing, care and support in Sussex.
