We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a Head Receptionist at Attimore Veterinary Centre.
Location: Welwyn Garden City
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 Hours plus 1 in 4 Saturday Mornings
About the role
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Managing the Receptionist team, including training and providing support and guidance
- Creating and managing the team rota
- Supporting with Recruitment and liaising with the internal recruitment team
- Account Control & Debt Management
- Manage the processing of insurance claims
- Assist in the management of our Healthy Pet Club
Additional Day-to-day duties of the role will include:
- Answering phones and booking appointments
- Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
- Registering new clients
- Completing insurance forms
- Dispensing medications
- Taking payments
- Providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice
What we're looking for in our Veterinary Head Receptionist
- Previous Receptionist experience is essential, veterinary experience is a plus!
- Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
- An excellent communicator with strong empathy
- Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
- A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
