Life at Roebuck Vets (Great Ashby)
We are looking for a passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team and work 40 hours across 4 days with a share in the 1 in 5 Saturday rota. Great Ashby Vets is a busy, first opinion, 24‑hour Hospital with a passionate team of vets, nurses, VCAs, and receptionists. Our facilities include digital x‑ray, dental x‑ray, lap spay equipment, multiparameters, and ultrasound, along with a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon who visits the practice for orthopaedic procedures, giving you the tools you need to deliver outstanding care. The practice benefits from a fantastic residential location, making it highly accessible. Surrounded by strong community and nearby green spaces, the practice enjoys a loyal client base, creating a consistent and rewarding caseload. Excellent transport links provide easy access, while the proximity to Stevenage town centre offers local amenities, shops, and leisure facilities.
No two days at Great Ashby are ever the same, your responsibilities will include:
- Provide high‑quality patient care, running wards and monitoring recovery
- Deliver nurse consults and clinics
- Monitor anaesthetics for first and second ops
- Support student nurses in their clinical journey
About you
Our ideal candidate will have some experience as a qualified veterinary nurse and be confident in all areas of nursing, including anaesthetics. An interest in clinical coaching is desirable but not essential.
