Office Administrator at Endell Equine Hospital
Location: Salisbury
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Two part‑time team members are required. Each role will be between 15 – 25 hours per week, depending on the split between roles.
Shift Pattern: The office is open Monday – Friday between 08:00 – 17:30. The shifts required are predominantly afternoons with some full days on Thursdays and Fridays.
About the Role
- Answering phones and booking appointments
- Logistical planning of veterinarians’ diaries
- Responding to queries via phone, in person, and email
- Registering new clients
- Dealing with account queries and payments
- Completing insurance forms
- Dispensing medications
- Taking payments
- Providing a warm and welcoming experience to clients arriving at the practice
Requirements
- Previous receptionist experience is essential; veterinary and equine experience is a plus.
- Experience with horses or equine knowledge is desired.
- Ability to multi‑task and prioritise workload is essential.
- Resilient and able to cope with busy, potentially emotional situations.
- Excellent communicator with strong empathy.
- Excellent customer service skills and experience dealing with members of the public.
- Positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems.
