- Contract: Permanent
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift Pattern: Monday – Saturday between 0700 - 1900

About the Role:
As a Laboratory Technician in our Molecular Diagnostics and Microbiology departments, you will be part of a dynamic, high-throughput diagnostic team. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Sample Preparation
- Pre-treatment of veterinary samples in preparation for PCR testing
- Culture of specimens in preparation for Microbiological analysis
- Nucleic acid extraction: DNA & RNA extraction and purification in preparation for PCR testing
- PCR set up and post amplification analysis
- Interpretation & reporting of microbiological cultures
- Microscopic analysis of samples for parasitology, mycology & bacteriology
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring all equipment is functioning properly and maintained according to standards
- Record Keeping: Maintaining clear and accurate records to support the timely reporting of results
- Communication: Acting as a key liaison to ensure smooth information flow between colleagues, managers, and other departments

Whilst previous laboratory experience is advantageous, it is not required for this role.
