Join Our Team as a Veterinary Receptionist – Team Lead! Are you ready to put pets first? At CVS Vets, we make pets a priority every day! We're on the lookout for a dynamic and passionate animal enthusiast to step into the role of Veterinary Receptionist – Team Lead at Albavet Veterinary Surgeons.

Role Details

  • Location: 24 Nicol Street, Kirkcaldy, Fife, KY1 1NY
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, working a varied shift pattern between 08.00 – 20.00, with a share in the 09.00 – 17.00 Weekend rota

About the Role

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the Receptionist team, including training and providing support and guidance
  • Creating and managing the team rota
  • Supporting with Recruitment and liaising with the internal recruitment team

Additional Day-to-day duties of the role will include:

  • Answering phones and booking appointments
  • Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
  • Registering new clients
  • Completing insurance forms
  • Dispensing medications
  • Taking payments
  • Providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice

Who We're Looking For

  • Previous Receptionist experience is essential, veterinary experience is a plus!
  • Leadership skills would be highly desirable
  • Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
  • An excellent communicator with strong empathy
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
  • A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
