Southcroft Lodge provides hotel-style accommodation for patients discharged from hospital, support for those in crisis in the community, long-term supported-living community placements and B&B step-down from the hospital. Our aim is to provide a therapeutic, structured environment for clients to continue their recovery in the community. We empower the individuals we work with to realise their potential.
The Role
Do you live in Southwark? Are you looking for a fulfilling job that supports other people? If you have experience in mental health, we are looking for you to run our Southwark Recovery Space Service. This new venture will support service users with mental health needs at their point of need in the community, with a strong emphasis on prevention, community rootedness, and culturally appropriate care. The service will run from midday to 11 p.m. 365 days a year, focusing on preventing A&E presentations through community redirection and supportive recovery and crisis planning.
Key Responsibilities
- The Recovery Worker Lead will be responsible for leading the shift, following up on previous clients, and overseeing wellness plans.
Requirements
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Proven experience in leading wellbeing initiatives and supporting staff through reflective practice (preferred)
- Demonstrable experience working with clients in mental health crisis and distress, and understanding how to create resolution plans
- Experience facilitating community groups
- Experience working in crisis situations
- Able to work safely and autonomously with provided support structures
- Organised, able to lead on facilitating community links and partnerships, solution-focused, with a working knowledge of trauma-informed practice
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care or above (or evidence of working towards this)
