We are searching for a talented Patient Accounts Representative
Hours:40hrs
Shift:Day shift; 7:00am – 3:30pm
Location: Southcoast Business Center – Fairhaven, MA; This position will follow a hybrid schedule; After 90 day in the office training candidate will be required to work in the office 2 days per week.

Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Manager, Patient Accounts Third Party and Team Leader, the Patient Accounts Representative is responsible for the appropriate billing and collections of receivables for Southcoast Hospitals Group. Utilizing various software, including Epic, to process patient accounts. Review and analyze billing and denial information. Contact insurers, employers, patients and other hospital departments to resolve outstanding accounts.
Qualifications
- Education equal to the completion of four years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training.
- Third party medical billing experience with knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD coding is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of Excel and Word preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of office experience or billing certification from an accredited school is preferred.

Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
Pay Range
USD $17.05 – USD $28.28 /Hr.
