The Role
The position is based at Southco’s European Headquarters, located in Worcester reporting to the regional Total Rewards Manager. The Payroll Manager is an integral part of the Human Resources department and is responsible for the payment of approx. 400 monthly paid employees across Europe. Currently, there are 7 payrolls operating across 5 countries.
The Payroll Manager will be responsible for:
- Ensuring that each stage of the payroll process complies with due process and procedures.
- Paying all staff correctly, on a monthly basis.
- Ensuring that correct payments are made and appropriate information is provided to the pension schemes, HMRC and statutory bodies.
- Providing advice and expertise in relation to payroll matters within the business.
Requirements
- Analytical background with previous experience of managing payrolls across Europe.
- Experience in iHCM2 (UK Payroll) and ADP Streamline (Europe payroll) preferable.
- Able to collaborate with Human Resources (HR) and accounting teams.
- An analytical mind, keen eye for detail and good maths/Excel skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
