We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Registrar to join our Visual Arts team, on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the planning and delivery of exhibitions at the iconic Hayward Gallery, and other visual art projects at Southbank Centre, alongside national and international touring programmes. As Senior Registrar, you will oversee the transport, loan, and insurance arrangements for artworks across all Visual Arts projects, ensuring the highest standards of care for works in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage fine art transport and procurement, ensuring museum standards and value for money
  • Advise on loan strategies, negotiate loan agreements, and liaise with lenders
  • Oversee insurance arrangements and compliance with Government Indemnity guidelines
  • Lead the registrar team, promoting inclusivity and high performance
  • Develop and manage transport budgets and schedules in consultation with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with international museum standards and regulations

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience as a Registrar within the visual arts or museum sector
  • Expertise in fine art transport, loan management, and negotiating agreements
  • In-depth knowledge of the Government Indemnity Scheme and Customs regulations
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
