We are currently recruiting for an experienced Data and Analytics Lead to join our IT department on a full-time, permanent basis. As a key strategic role reporting to the Head of IT, you will lead the development of Southbank Centre’s organisational data strategy. Working collaboratively across multiple departments, you will embed a culture of data-informed decision-making and drive innovation through actionable insight. With a firm grasp of data architecture, analytics tools, and governance, you will ensure the organisation has the infrastructure and skills needed to harness data effectively, helping teams to unlock their potential and deliver meaningful impact.
What you'll do:
- The successful candidate will oversee the development and implementation of scalable analytics infrastructure while leading cross-functional collaboration on data initiatives.
- From establishing best practice in data governance and privacy, to guiding the use of predictive modelling and AI where appropriate, your role will be central to shaping how we understand and act on our data.
- As well as driving forward Southbank Centre’s strategic ambitions, you’ll help equip teams across the organisation to make better use of data, offering training, guidance, and coaching to support a more confident, data-literate culture.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Proven experience leading data strategy, with a strong foundation in data science, BI platforms, and statistical analysis.
- Confidence managing data infrastructure, including architecture, tools and systems that support organisational-wide needs.
- Understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance (e.g. GDPR), and experience embedding frameworks that ensure legal and ethical data use.
- Ability to translate complex data into accessible insights that inform strategy and business decisions.
- A collaborative and inclusive approach, with experience supporting and upskilling others to build confidence in data use.
