Responsibilities

  • Provide personalised companionship and emotional support, fostering meaningful relationships with clients.
  • Assist clients with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, whilst maintaining dignity and privacy.
  • Support with medication reminders and administration, ensuring client safety and adherence to care plans.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light household tasks, promoting a comfortable and safe living environment.
  • Facilitate client engagement in hobbies, social activities, and community outings, enhancing quality of life.
  • Accompany clients to appointments or on errands, providing reliable and reassuring support.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, communicating effectively with the office team and client families.

Requirements

  • A genuine passion for supporting older people and making a positive impact on their lives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic approach.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing consistent, high-quality care.
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dedicated team.
  • Previous experience in a care setting (though full training is provided for those new to care).
  • Residency within or close to Dulverton, or willingness to travel to the area.
