Are you an experienced and compassionate individual looking to make a significant impact in the home care sector? Home Instead Chertsey is seeking a dedicated Field Care Supervisor to join our supportive team. This pivotal role involves ensuring the highest standards of care delivery, supporting our valued clients, and empowering our incredible Care Professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive care consultations, service reviews, and develop personalised client support plans, ensuring individual needs are meticulously met.
  • Perform regular supervisions and appraisals for Care Professionals, fostering their professional development and ensuring adherence to Home Instead standards.
  • Undertake client quality assurance visits, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring continuous service excellence and client satisfaction.
  • Accurately create, update, and audit client care plans, embracing and assisting with digital care planning solutions for optimal efficiency.
  • Maintain meticulous and up-to-date client and Care Professional records using Home Instead software and People Planner.
  • Facilitate seamless and thoughtful introductions between clients and Care Professionals, ensuring strong, lasting relationships are built from the outset.
  • Act as a key point of contact for Care Professionals, offering guidance, support, and mentorship to promote a positive and effective working environment.
  • Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and Home Instead’s stringent policies and procedures, upholding our commitment to safe and quality care.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the home care sector, ideally within a supervisory or senior care role.
  • Demonstrable experience in conducting supervisions, appraisals, and quality assurance checks.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in IT, including experience with care management software (e.g., People Planner).
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle are essential for this field-based role.
  • A compassionate, empathetic, and professional approach to care.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or an equivalent qualification.

Salary: From £28,000 per year.

You will be joining a dynamic and friendly office team based in Chertsey, with a significant portion of your role involving fieldwork across our local community. You will work autonomously while having the full backing of our dedicated office staff, ensuring you have the resources and support needed to excel in your role.

On Call one night in the week and one weekend in eight. Salary is £28,000 plus £200 each on call weekend.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Experience in the care sector delivering a wide range of personal care services.
  • Experience of working with MAR sheets (eMar) and medication in a supervisory role.
  • Passion for delivering the highest quality care to our clients and helping them to live independently and happily in their own homes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of legislation and regulations specific to Health and Social Care.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Must be confident to use care management technology including providing support and training to Care Professionals.
  • Must understand the importance of confidentiality working within current legislation.
  • Good working knowledge of IT systems with experience of Microsoft Office or Google Suite and virtual communication platforms with the aptitude to learn and adopt new technologies and software where appropriate.
  • Must have full driving license and means of transport if required within the territory to visit clients.
  • Be organised and flexible to meet the needs of the business.
