Home Instead Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, an outstanding and family‑run care provider, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live‑In Care Assistant to provide exceptional support to our clients within their own homes. As a Live‑In Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enabling our clients to maintain their independence and enjoy a fulfilling life.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive personal care, including bathing, dressing and toileting.
  • Assist with medication administration and monitoring.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging in meaningful activities and conversation.
  • Assist with light housekeeping duties, such as laundry and maintaining a clean living environment.
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings.
  • Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the care management team.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience

  • A genuine passion for providing high‑quality care and making a positive difference in the lives of others.
  • Previous experience in a caregiving role, preferably with elderly or vulnerable adults.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in providing live‑in care.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Relevant care qualifications (e.g. NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care).
