Southampton Voluntary Services (SVS) is the umbrella body for local voluntary and community groups working in Southampton. They provide a wide range of services including specialist support, advice and training.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Southampton Place Partnership Board, Place Lead and local partners to co-ordinate and evaluate the Southampton Place Partnership in line with Sport England requirements.
  • Co-ordinate, manage and monitor the delivery plan.
  • Ensure effective budget monitoring.
  • Build relationships within Southampton Place Partnership priority places.
  • From managing relationships to managing data to managing projects, this is an important role supporting community-led change in Southampton.
  • Building, developing and maintaining key operational relationships with delivery partners and stakeholders in the local system to support the Southampton Place Partnership programme of work.
  • Listening and understanding the behaviour, lived experience, interests and motivations of people experiencing the greatest inequalities.
  • Carrying out robust day-to-day management and monitoring of the Place Partnership delivery budgets set by the Place Partnership Board.
  • Carrying out day-to-day management and co-ordination of the Place Partnership's work to drive implementation of the delivery plan.
  • Acting within Place Partnership stated values and comply with Southampton Voluntary Services policies and procedures.
