BH Live is recruiting for a Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team at the newly redeveloped Southampton Outdoor Sports Centre. You will support the day-to-day delivery of the hospitality operation at the Outdoor Sports Centre, including a café service, food and drink preparation, customer service, stock control and ensuring cleaning standards are adhered to. You will also provide hospitality support for scheduled events.

You will provide a welcoming, efficient and great customer service experience whilst ensuring all food safety, health and safety, cash handling and operational procedures are followed.

You will:

  • Deliver excellent customer service across the café, bar, retail and event hospitality areas.
  • Prepare and serve food and drinks in line with agreed standards and procedures.
  • Support the delivery of hospitality for events, bookings and centre activities.
  • Operate tills and EPoS systems accurately, following cash handling procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across hospitality areas.
  • Follow all food safety, allergen, licensing and health and safety procedures.
  • Assist with stock replenishment, stock rotation and reporting low stock levels.

To be successful you will need:

  • A valid food safety & hygiene Level 2 qualification.
  • Great customer service and communication skills.
  • An understanding of the importance of food hygiene and cleanliness.
  • The ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods.
  • A flexible approach to working hours, as you may be required to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
