You will be coaching the U8 age group in individual, small and full group sessions, utilising a Player Development programme which maximises the opportunities for young players to reach their full potential. Additionally, you will work within the pre-academy syllabus to plan, prepare, deliver and evaluate coaching sessions and ensure the sessions are logged in the coach’s manual. You will also lead teams on the Advanced Development Centre (ADC) match days versus other professional clubs, this will be approximately 2 fixtures a month.
You will monitor and assess the players in the ADC in training and in match performances. In addition, you will be preparing and conducting player/parent reviews on a school termly basis using the standard pre-academy Player Review Templates to ensure that reviews are carried out following the SFC Player review protocol document. You will also need to liaise with the ADC Lead Coach regarding players progression and support the Lead coach with selection of players into the DC programme.
You will be required to attend a minimum of 75% of Club CPD events each season (5 per season) and work towards qualifications when new awards become appropriate to the role. Furthermore, you will contribute to the Scouting and Recruitment process where necessary in relation to the advanced development centre program. You may also support the Lead Coach with administrative tasks related to the role, including the completion of registers at each session and maintain records securely.
