What is the role?
Saints Foundation bring Southampton FC to the heart of the community, using the power of the club and our passionate team to help fulfil individual potential and make Southampton a better place to live for all. Through our Health pillar of work, our aim is to ‘Support adults and young people with health inequalities to stay healthy, active, and connected, encouraging them to lead fulfilled lives’.
This role will involve supporting session delivery across our Senior Saints programme, working closely with the programme coordinator and delivery team to ensure all sessions are staffed appropriately and delivered to a standard that will achieve our proposed outcomes.
What will you be doing?
You will act as lead instructor on our Senior Saints programme delivering physical activity sessions for our senior participants, working closely with the project team to ensure that all activities are delivered in a safe and appropriate manner.
Reporting any safeguarding issues in a timely manner (utilising our CPOMs platform) you will ensure all data is collected and uploaded to our secure safesforce system as well as offering assistance to the coordinator to capture positive outcomes and share via social media campaigns.
You will manage participant engagement, safety and behaviour in hub sessions and foster positive relationships with wider hub partners to promote additional support. Alongside this, you will support the Senior Saints Coordinator in the development of Hub space that supports individual community spaces to increase levels of physical activity and reduce social isolation in targeted communities.
Is this you?
You are an outgoing and friendly person with experience in delivering group exercises and working with older adults with multiple health conditions. You have the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of demographics and great organisational and IT skills.
You have a minimum CIMSPA recognised level 2 fitness qualification (level 3 special population qualification or OTAGO would be preferable).
