What is the role?
We are looking for a skilled Steward Trainer and Event Support Officer to assist the Head of Event Safety and Security and the Operations Co-Ordinator to train stewards on the NVQ 2 Spectator Safety Qualification and assist in the delivery of a first class matchday.
What will you be doing?
Your primary focus will be to train and develop stewards and other matchday staff to ensure they are prepared and supported to deliver the best possible service for matchday visitors. You will take a hands‑on approach to steward learning, delivering Basic Life Support (First Aid) training and a comprehensive induction for new starters.
You will also assist in reviewing the submission of workbooks from Level 2 and Level 3 Spectator Safety learners and the monitoring of steward learning and development.
Using the club\’s operational platforms, including Raven, Accreditation, and Workday, you will be able to support new starters in settling into their roles and ensure they have a good understanding of how to use the systems effectively.
You will work matchdays and events as required, providing on‑site support during events and ensuring all operational aspects are managed effectively with any issues addressed promptly and appropriately.

Key Skills:
- Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA)
- Level 3 Award in Education in Training (AET ) or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Organisational & Planning Skills – ability to coordinate staffing, schedules, and resources across multiple providers and platforms.
- Operational Systems Competence – working knowledge of platforms such as Raven, Accreditation systems, and Workday (or similar).
