What is the role?

We’re looking for a team of friendly, proactive people to join our Matchday Supporter Liaison Officer (SLO) team and represent Southampton FC at both men’s and women’s home matches, playing a vital role in welcoming supporters and helping them to get the most out of their matchday.

What will you be doing?

As a Matchday SLO, you’ll be the friendly face of the club on matchdays – helping fans from the moment they arrive until the final whistle. Whether it’s answering questions, offering directions, supporting fans with accessibility needs or simply helping someone feel welcome, your role is all about creating a positive experience for everyone attending. You’ll be positioned both inside and outside the stadium and will work closely with our Supporter Services team, Ticket Office staff, stewards, and other matchday staff to make sure everything runs smoothly.

You are naturally warm and approachable, with a friendly smile and a genuine desire to help others. You have a calm, confident and positive approach with an understanding of football and a passion for delivering excellent service. You are reliable and available for all men’s home matchdays as well as open to opportunities to support women’s matches and other club events throughout the season. This role does not offer an opportunity to watch the football match.
