This is a Permanent, 17 hours per week vacancy that will close in 8 days at 23:59 BST.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for passionate, dedicated Campus Estates Operative to work part time (17 hours per week) evenings and weekends on a rostered basis. The pro rata salary would be between £11,061.27 to £11,374.38 per annum.

Duties:

  • This position is a shift work role across all South Hampshire College Group sites providing the highest standards of customer service in a general caretaking capacity to all College staff, students and visitors.
  • It is a Part-time position; The shift varies per campus with a mixture of early shifts and late shifts including weekends where required on a rostered basis.
  • Assist the Estates and H&S managers/Supervisors in providing an effective facilities and maintenance service across the college campuses.
  • Provide administrative support to the Estates department.
  • Contribute to a safe, clean and well-maintained environment for staff, students, customers and visitors to the College.

Skills/Experience:

  • Experience of General DIY
  • Qualifications: GCSE Math’s and English - Grade C and above
  • Current driving licence Cat B
  • Current driving licence Cat D

Ideal Attributes:

  • Ability to be tactful and deal with confrontation
  • Use of basic Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Have a flexible and proactive attitude to work
