An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Family Help East Team. The role and remit of the team is to work with families at the earliest opportunity, to provide targeted and supportive services, the ethos being the right service, for the right family at the right time.

About the team: The team consists of Social Workers and Family Practitioners. We also work in collaboration with our Solent NHS colleagues in Midwifery, Health Visiting and Public Health Nursing. Our team is based across the three Family Hubs within the East of the locality – Blackberry (Thornhill); Cutbush (Townhill) and Seashell (Weston) working alongside our colleagues who provide universal services to children and families as part of the Early Help offer. We are on a journey to establish a multi-disciplinary service embedded in the local community that serves and meets the needs of the resident families and their children.

About the role: Our Family Help East Team is seeking a Practice Co-ordinator (Grade 10) for a permanent part time position. The main duties will include:

  • To support families to access universal, universal plus and universal partnership plus level provision and provide intensive support to the whole family, supporting family members access the services they need.
  • Supervision and management of a group of Family Practitioners.
  • Promote the operational delivery of the locality services.
  • Working in partnership with the Locality Manager.
  • Embed high quality standards, professional leadership and integrated efficient working practices.
  • Duty manager role for allocation of non-statutory work.

About you: Desired experience and skills

  • Experience of leadership and management of case holding teams.
  • Experience of multi-agency and multi-disciplinary team working.
  • Experience of developing working partnerships across sectors.
  • Knowledge of policies / regulations / guidance relating to safeguarding.
  • Excellent personal organisational and communication skills.
  • Clear understanding of Children and Learning Services and quality assurance.

Salary: The salary band for this role is £47,181 - £51,357. The starting salary is £47,181 (pro rata) with annual progression through the salary bands.
