We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic team member to support young people aged 16-25 as they transition from care into adulthood. You will work within the UASC team, so experience of the immigration process and the challenges young people face is required in addition to general care leaver knowledge and experience. The Leaving Care Service has strong links with partner agencies and a robust corporate parenting strategy to provide care‑experienced young adults with the best opportunities and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist young people in building independence skills and developing supportive relationships.
  • Help them utilize community resources and promote educational and training opportunities.
  • Support housing arrangements and progression of their independence.
  • Co‑produce pathway plans with allocated young people to focus on their support needs.
  • Partner with multi‑agency stakeholders to ensure young people receive the support and care they need.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience working with care‑experienced young adults or children in care.
  • Background in housing, youth work, youth justice, adult services or employment services is desirable.
  • Empathy, good listening skills and ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Proactive, confident and able to work collaboratively with other agencies.
