Based in Southampton, the Southampton, Fareham and Havant Services Partnership provides strategic and professional advice covering all aspects of local government law. We are currently looking for two lawyers in the Governance & Information team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle Governance and Information preparations for Local Government Re‑Organisation (LGR) and provide advice on a wide‑ranging caseload of Corporate Governance and Information law.
- Work flexibly across teams delivering legal support to a range of council clients.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Practicing Lawyer (appointed at Grade 10), Solicitor or Barrister (appointed at Grade 11) with 3+ years post‑qualified experience.
- Strong written and advisory skills, competence with IT and case management systems, experience working in a highly political context, and a positive, solution‑focused approach to complex problems.
- Ability to work flexibly across multiple sites and from home.
