This is a role where you will be able to show your initiative to support some of our most vulnerable children and families. We would welcome applications from those who have experience of working with children but also those who wish to pursue a new career in this area.

This position will incorporate a variety of different roles but typical duties may include:

  • Working with a child who is reluctant to attend school.
  • Attending a safeguarding meeting as a school DSL.
  • Meeting with children where there are concerns around safeguarding and wellbeing.
  • Completing a referral to a mental health agency.
  • Working with a child with low mood to build their confidence and self-esteem.
  • Taking a small group for a cookery session to promote teamwork, healthy eating and independence skills.
  • Providing lunchtime supervision.

The role will require you to work under the guidance of our Senior Leadership Team. You will also receive excellent guidance and work closely with our experienced Inclusion Support Specialist. You will be provided with training and shadowing opportunities, and work in a highly supportive school. We would be delighted to show you around our wonderful school.

The position is for three days a week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) which equates to 19.5 hours per week. Early applications are encouraged and the school reserves the right to interview and appoint a suitable candidate ahead of the application deadline. This is a permanent position.
