Responsibilities- Teach Technology across KS3 and KS4, including the delivery of GCSE specifications
- Demonstrate strong leadership and subject knowledge
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive
- Contribute to curriculum development and the wider work of the Technology Department
- Maintain high expectations of behaviour, progress, and achievement
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support whole school priorities and enrichment opportunities
- Demonstrate excellent organisational, communication, and classroom management skills
- Plan and deliver quality-first teaching, underpinned by adaptive teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners, including students with SEND
- Use assessment effectively to track and monitor student progress, adapting teaching in response to individual needs
- Champion Cantell School's focus on EMPOWER skills
- Work closely with the SEND team and support staff to ensure appropriate scaffolding, challenge and access for all students
- Organise and support trips, visits and workshops that build students' knowledge
- Liaise effectively with parents, carers, support staff and external providers, including attending parents' evenings
- Engage fully with the school's CPD programme, including training related to SEND, adaptive teaching and inclusive practice
- A committed and extremely supportive staff team
