Purpose of the Post
To provide high-quality administrative and operational support for school assessment, reporting, pupil data management, exams, administration, and mandatory statutory data returns. The successful candidate will play a central role in ensuring the complete accuracy, integrity, and robust validation of all school information systems (SIMS/MIS).
Responsibilities
- Data Management: Maintain accurate pupil records within the core MIS; process admissions, leavers, and student changes; undertake rigorous, routine data validation checks; support key transition point data management.
- Reporting and Output: Produce routine, insight-driven reports for leadership; track attendance, behaviour, rewards, and attainment; oversee systematic academic reporting cycles; distribute and manage precise parental reports.
- Assessment Administration: Support active collection and processing of grades; coordinate school rewards data for events; prepare comprehensive data sets for academic analysis; perform routine validation and quality assurance checks.
- Examination Logistics and Support: Support comprehensive examination entries; maintain precise candidate record files; assist with outcomes/results administration; coordinate daily exam room logistics.
- Statutory Returns and Compliance: Coordinate key data gathering for School Census and School Workforce Census; assist in delivering timely, validated returns to the DfE and Local Authority.
- Curriculum and Timetabling Support: Maintain option structures inside SIMS/MIS; support key student options cycles; provide continuous help with central timetabling base data maintenance.
- Inter-departmental Coordination: Liaise closely with the HR Officer to ensure staff SIMS directories are updated, compliant, and integrated properly into academic base structures.
