We are looking to recruit to a vacancy within our City Telecare Services 24 hour control room.
You will be responsible for handling emergency calls from elderly and vulnerable people on our Telecare Service and handling emergency out of hour’s telephone calls on behalf of the City Council, dealing with housing repairs, highways issues and many other vital City Council services.
It’s an incredibly fast paced but exceptionally rewarding role that requires quick but effective decision making. You’ll be compassionate, empathetic and have exceptional communication skills but be able to cope with competing demands, sometimes in stressful conditions. You’ll need to be able to work independently and on own initiative whilst operating as a committed member of the team.
Shift Pattern:
- 21 hours per week working a shift pattern;
- 3 days 10.00-16.30 (earlies)
- 3 days Off
- 3 days 16.00-22.30 (lates)
- 3 days off
- These hours include weekends and Bank Holidays
Successful candidates will also be expected to attend a monthly team meeting held on a Wednesday 1500-1600hrs.

Salary: The salary band for this role is £32,061 - £36,362 per annum (pro rata). The starting salary is £32,061 with annual progression through the salary bands.
