Overview

We are looking for confident, reliable and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as School Crossing Patrol Officers. You will supervise the safe passage of school children and other pedestrians who are accompanying them, in accordance with the Road Traffic Regulations 1981.

Responsibilities

  • Decide when it is safe to stop traffic, using the crossing patrol sign, to give clear signals to drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.
  • Be aware of and apply Road Safety knowledge with good communication skills.
  • Where required, liaise with the school and the police to assist in reporting accidents and other incidents at the crossing site.
  • Use provided equipment and uniform to carry out the role.

Requirements

  • K knowledge of Road Safety and good communication skills.
  • Ability to liaise with schools and police as needed to report incidents at the crossing site.
  • Right to work in the UK at the time of application (note: role not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route).
  • Flexible to work part time during term time, with specified hours per location as listed.

  • Ludlow Infant & Junior Schools, Bishops Road/Peveril Road (Location 83), 7.92 hours per week, 8.30-9.10am and 15.00-15.55pm
  • Tanners Brook Primary, King George Avenue/Stanton Road (Location 68), 6.67 hours per week, 8.25-9.05am and 14.55-15.35pm
  • Mansel Park Primary, Mansel Road West / Maplin Road (Location 97), 5.25 hours per week, 8.30-9.05am and 15.25-15.55pm
