The predicted salary is between 47000 - 51000 ÂŁ per year.
You will be responsible for a £4m – £8m per annum contract, managing the procure contractor that will be carrying out repairs and refurbishment to Southampton City Council housing properties, ensuring that quality work is completed on time and within budget and to KIP\’s (Key Performance Indicators). You will be directly responsible for the management of a Clerk of Works as well as the contract. In addition, you will also have an understanding and the ability to interpret the policies and procedures which underpin service delivery within Housing Operations. We are looking for someone who has the ability to build successful working arrangements and partnerships with other internal and external service providers and ensure that productivity levels are optimised across all areas of responsibility.
Southampton City Council is looking for a confident and self‑motivated individual to undertake the role of a Project Manager within the Contracts and Commercial Services team. You will be supporting District and Area Estates Maintenance Managers within the Day‑to‑Day Repairs and Void Teams as well as supporting teams with the wider strategic goals within the service delivery. It is essential for you to have a practical understanding of construction/property maintenance industry. Additional working knowledge and experience of CDM and Health and Safety policies are essential for this role, along with being educated in a relevant building qualification of HNC / HND / or equivalent experience and membership to APM, PMI or CIOB or similar. The successful applicant must have a full clean driving licence. You will also be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check. As the work is varied, a flexible approach is required to meet changing needs and tight deadlines. Excellent customer service skills, enthusiasm, and a \”can do\” attitude are essential as you\’ll be our ambassador when you visit our customers\’ homes to carry out quality control checks. You will liaise with residents, peers and colleagues on a daily basis so communication and customer focus will be essential to the role. Organisational, customer service and time management skills are key to this role.
