Supply Chain Manager – Motor Birmingham Business Park – Hybrid Up to £45k Southam Selections are working with a fast-growing, accident management company specialising in intervention, hire and repair.

They are led by a highly experienced leadership team with over 40 years’ industry expertise, the business continues to expand and is now seeking a Client Supply Chain Manager to support their fleet operations by managing relationships with vehicle hire providers and ensuring we always have the right vehicles available at the right time.

You’ll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly, controlling costs, maintaining compliance, and improving supplier performance.

Responsibilities: Build strong working relationships with vehicle hire providers and act as their main point of contact.

Coordinate vehicle orders, deliveries, collections, swaps, and ensure availability meets operational needs.

Monitor supplier performance, track KPIs, review service levels, and resolve any issues that arise.

Review hire charges and invoices, check for accuracy, and identify opportunities to reduce costs.

Support procurement activity, contract renewals, and onboarding or offboarding suppliers.

Track utilisation, downtime, and fleet activity, escalating problems when needed.

Maintain accurate fleet records, documentation, and supplier information.

Ensure all suppliers meet compliance requirements including insurance, licensing, safety standards, and maintenance obligations.

Manage incident reporting for hire vehicles and keep audit-ready records.

Produce regular reports on performance, costs, trends, and supplier activity.

Keep fleet systems and databases updated and provide insights to improve efficiency.

Skills

Experience: Experience in fleet management, vehicle hire, logistics, or supply chain coordination.

Strong supplier management and negotiation skills.

Good understanding of vehicle hire agreements and commercial terms.

Confident analysing costs and identifying savings.

Excellent organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
