Night Duty Manager – Hotel Location: Luton Pay: £16–£17 per hour, depending on experience Hours: 23:00–07:00 Working pattern: Monday to Sunday, including weekends Job Description We are currently recruiting an experienced Night Duty Manager to work at a hotel in Luton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong hotel background who can confidently manage overnight operations and deliver excellent customer service. Previous experience using the Opera hotel management system is essential. Key Responsibilities * Oversee the smooth running of hotel operations throughout the night. * Manage guest enquiries, requests and complaints professionally. * Assist with guest check-ins, check-outs and reservations. * Use the Opera system to manage bookings, room allocations and guest information. * Complete night audit procedures and prepare relevant reports. * Ensure hotel security and follow all health and safety procedures. * Handle unexpected situations and resolve issues efficiently. * Liaise with other departments and ensure a thorough handover to the daytime team. Requirements * Previous experience as a Hotel Duty Manager, Night Manager or in a similar supervisory role. * Essential: Previous hands-on experience using the Opera hotel management system. * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Ability to work independently and make decisions confidently. * Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. * Flexibility to work nights, including weekends. Working Hours Shifts run from 23:00 to 07:00, with weekend availability required. Flexibility to work across the week is essential.
