In this role you will lead and develop the demand analysis function within BC&I and provide a strategy for business transformation. You will manage a team to gather and analyse relevant information and use statistical data to inform the organisation on changing demand.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver effective business analysis capabilities using well-established tools and techniques to transform both the target-operating model and the way we deliver our BAU aligned to the organisational strategic direction.
  • Lead the Analysis and Data Intelligence Teams to gather and analyse relevant information and use statistical data to inform the organisation in relation to our changing demand and represent the Business Demand function on a local, regional, and national level where appropriate.
  • Develop, manage, and deliver a demand management work plan for the force and key stakeholders.
  • Lead the design and the development of effective transformational change based on what the business requires and project resources to implement technology and business transition.
  • Lead, develop and motivate the Business Analysis and Data Intelligence Team in line with project objectives whilst optimising skill and resource deployment.
  • Represent the force relating to the demand programme and business analysis function.
  • Lead on the re-engineering of business processes to be more effective and efficient, complemented by data application and technical architecture.
  • Lead in the development of the appropriate analytical tools, techniques, and products.
  • Lead and manage the communication with key stakeholders at senior level, utilising various communication models.
  • Develop and lead on the preparation of documents to support the change management programme and ensure that all demand analysis supporting change is appropriately quality assured.
  • Provide consultancy and support on the demand and analytical planning.
  • Manage risk and issues identified for both the Analysis and Data Intelligence Team.
  • Lead on the assurance activities to ensure that demand analysis work streams are effective.
  • Lead, develop, motivate, and engage the Business Analysis and Data Intelligence Teams to enable high performing teams.
  • May be required to work outside normal hours and travel around and outside of the force area.

Skills and experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in the application of the principles, methodologies, tools, and techniques applicable to business analysis.
  • Knowledge and experience of conducting business analysis in the delivery of a substantial transformational change programme in relation to large and complex processes.
  • Experience of developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners to ensure that a high standard of business analysis, business intelligence and product development is achieved.
  • Educated to degree level in an appropriate subject matter area or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to collate information and assimilate into high level reports.
  • Experience of leading on quality assurance techniques within process engineering to realise required business outcomes and benefits.
