Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventative maintenance and servicing on police vehicles, plant and equipment to a high standard.
- Diagnose and repair faults on police vehicles, plant or equipment using manufacturer’s electronic diagnosis equipment.
- Attend incapacitated vehicles at the roadside or vehicle base, and recover or repair as required.
- Recover police vehicles without supervision where required by management.
- Carry out uncertified M.O.T standard tests on police vehicles.
- Work at any of the Police workshops on short‑ or long‑term assignments as directed by Vehicle Fleet Management.
- Attend technical and personal development training courses, including occasional overnight stays at manufacturers’ premises.
- Complete all approved Vehicle Fleet Management forms and paperwork accurately.
