CCTV Operator
Location: College Road, Doncaster
Salary: £25,242 - £27,204 (plus 7.5% shift allowance & weekend working)
Hours: 37
Contract Type: Temporary for 12 months
In this role you will assist in the prevention and detection of crime by monitoring and evidencing CCTV incidents throughout South Yorkshire using digital CCTV systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Visually monitor and assess all types of live CCTV images involving members of the public, traffic incidents, police and other agencies.
- Monitor and respond to shop and pub radios for 3 districts.
- Monitor and respond to emails and requests coming into the suite.
- Maintain accurate records of relevant information using appropriate systems to ensure an audit trail for disclosure and to measure and improve performance.
- Download and review CCTV images to provide a factual dissemination of events.
- Use a variety of IT systems to maintain and update incident records.
Skills and Experience
- Communication skills – ability to listen, empathise and provide support and relay accurate information.
- Experience of information gathering and problem solving.
- Ability to utilise Microsoft IT applications.
- Ability to work under pressure, making logical and appropriate/proportionate decisions.
- Ability to view live images and digital footage.
