- In this role you will assist in the prevention and detection of crime by monitoring and evidencing CCTV incidents throughout South Yorkshire using digital CCTV systems. This role involves providing evidence for crime files and court with regard to CCTV recording.
Key Responsibilities
- Visually monitoring and assessing all types of live CCTV images involving members of the public/traffic incidents, police and other agencies.
- Monitoring and responding to shop and pub radios for 3 districts.
- Monitoring and responding to emails and requests coming into the suite.
- Maintaining accurate records of relevant information using appropriate systems to ensure an audit trail for disclosure and to measure and improve performance.
- Downloading & reviewing CCTV images to provide a factual dissemination of events.
- Using a variety of IT systems to maintain and update incident records.
Skills and Experience
- Communication skills – ability to listen, empathise and provide support and relay accurate information.
- Experience of information gathering and problem solving.
- Ability to utilise Microsoft IT applications.
- Ability to work under pressure, making logical and appropriate/proportionate decisions.
- An ability to view live images and digital footage.
